I am a family historian and wish I could find a relative of this young man who would appreciate this beautiful but very sad photo. Bert Cecil Lovett who was born in Hinckley, Leicestershire - son of Samuel and Catherine Lovett. He died aged 24 on 21st September 1915 in Hampshire and was buried at Sheerness (Isle of Sheppey) cemetery grave no. 00.96 (Commonwealth War Graves website). He was a corporal in the 5th Batallion Kings Royal Rifle Corps & his service no. was 9234. On the 1911 census he was with his regiment at Alvestoke, Hants. I hope this information will add to the photo and his memory.
